Many mines invest in state-of-the-art Blast Design Software which creates a drill and blast plan and increasingly, “smart” drills are accurately locating and drilling blast holes. Unfortunately, the precision of execution ends after the hole has been drilled: the ability to accurately load holes with explosives exactly according to plan is non-existent.
